Shortly thereafter, the weekly Shukan Shincho printed an article that claiming the priest involved was murdered by the driver of the truck, who happened to be a Soka Gakkai member.

When the conflict between the SGI and Nichiren Shoshu broke in 1990, we were very concerned. We always believed that the relationship between the SGI and Nichiren Shoshu was something very special; a relationship worth honoring. We had read of the history and struggles entailed in making the relationship work. From 1930 to 1990, it was difficult, but there was a good faith effort as keep the union intact. |
